A website audit before you invest
Performance, accessibility, technical SEO and security. A scope defined in advance, and a report that tells you what to fix first.
Rebuild, fix or leave it alone?
The problem
Your site is slow, it doesn’t show up in Google, or you wonder whether it complies with Quebec’s Law 25 and accessibility standards. Before paying for a redesign, you want to know what is really wrong.
Our approach
A website audit answers that question. It is also a starting point for a first project, with no commitment to a full project.
Four audits, one prioritized report
You choose one area or all four. The scope is set before we start.
Performance
Core Web Vitals, page weight, images, scripts and hosting. What slows your site down, measured on your real pages. To get it fixed: speed optimization.
Accessibility
Compliance with WCAG 2.2 level AA: contrast, keyboard, screen readers, forms. Automated tools and manual testing.
Technical SEO
Indexing, structure, metadata, structured data, redirects, errors in Search Console.
Security
Versions, plugins, access, forms, security headers and exposure to known vulnerabilities.
What you get
A prioritized report
Each issue ranked by impact and effort, so you know where to start.
Concrete fixes
For each point, what needs to be done, not just what is wrong.
A defined scope
Pages and areas set in advance, from 5 to 20 hours depending on the size of the site.
No commitment
You can have the fixes done by Digilia, by your team or by another provider.
Who fixes what the audit finds?
The report belongs to you: each point says what to do and in what order, for your team or another provider. If you hand the next steps to us, each fix goes through the right type of project.
Slow pages
Images, scripts, theme, hosting: performance fixes are done in an optimization project, measured before and after.
Security holes and overdue updates
Versions, plugins and backups are sorted out, then followed every month in a maintenance plan.
A site that cannot be fixed
An abandoned theme or a page builder that is too heavy: a redesign is only proposed in that case, carrying over what works.
How an audit works
-
Scope
Areas chosen, pages to analyze, access needed.
-
Analysis
Measurements, automated tools and manual checks.
-
Report
Findings, priorities and recommended fixes.
-
Presentation
A walkthrough of the report with you, and answers to your questions.
Questions about the audit
Between $625 and $2,500, or 5 to 20 hours depending on the scope: number of pages, areas chosen and level of detail in the report. The scope and the price are set before we start.
No. Performance, accessibility and technical SEO can be audited on any public site. The security area is more detailed for WordPress.
No. It identifies what is holding your site back technically. Fixing those points improves the conditions, but no provider can guarantee a position in Google.
It is a good first step. The speed test and the SEO checker analyze one page at a time. The audit covers the whole site, adds accessibility and security, and tells you what to fix first.
